Papal Wisdom

"Even today there is no lack of "unworthy and treacherous Christians in the church," the pope said, so "it is up to each one of us to counteract the evil done by them" with a clear and faithful witness to Christ." – His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI | October 18, 2006

A bit of a scary statement with a firm directive--I think it now and I thought it when first I read it. ... I cannot even imagine why those who are unworthy and treacherous -- whoever they are -- even bother practicing religion and being part of the church.

The Pope has had much to contend with so far during the course of his reign.
