I thought you were banned from soccer (football)because you kept kicking your buddies in the shin and making too many goals -- for the other team!
The seminarians at the seminary in our archdiocese have regular games against the diocesan priests. While the seminarians have the "age" advantage, I've never seen a more competitive bunch of priests! Yeeesh! No mercy, that's for sure. The priests even have uniforms (purchased by the Knight's of Columbus)... black jerseys and shorts with the letters M.I.B. (Men in Black) on the jersey.
Are you what she said?
I rather liked the "odd little priest hat" comment by your pal. You know, you might horrify her with this post. But then again, you might not.
I'll be wearing my odd hat on Christmas! I've asked Santa for a saturno.

Odd little emoticon fashioned after Fr. Z's.
That is possibly the cutest picture I've ever seen in my life. I'm going to post it on my blog, just 'cause. *I* think the saturno is a cool hat, Father... Don't you let what those stuffy folks (not meaning the fine commenters here, of course) say bother you a bit.
You know, the third priest from the right (the viewer's right) looks eerily like a priest, Father Roberto Pirrone, who used to be at my parish. I think it's the hair.
thank goodness your friend likes you. Imagine what you might be called if she/he did not! (Connie, Pat and Lynn are all great names. You don't know if they are for a girl or a boy.)
There are two birettas in this picture. No saturnos -- the wide-brimmed hat -- here.
(So now it's a "little cupcake?" Too funny for words!)
I think the two of you should go found a new order and get Prada -- or Hostess -- to design the garb.
