The necessary sacrament

"...one cannot leave aside relations with other religions, which are constructive as long as any ambiguity is avoided which may somehow weaken the essential content of the Christian faith in Christ, the only Savior of all men, and in the Church, the necessary sacrament of salvation for all mankind." -- Benedict XVI, Address to the Faculty and Students of the Pontifical Gregorian University, 11/o3/06

One very nice aspect of the Girl Scouts -- which are often tied in with Catholic parishes -- is that they expose children to other religions by having them attend myriad services. (I think it is in order to get a badge.) .... This sort of exposure helps kids -- and adults -- learn to get along with others, even though they may not agree with their religious beliefs.
