I thought the virgin Mary was Assumed into heaven before her death?
The wording in English on the Assumption is similar to this:"... when her days on earth had come to an end ..."
So did she die or was she assumed before she died?
It depends on which theologian you query.
The Orthodox call it the Dormitian --the Fallen Asleep of Our Lady.
So no one agrees on whether or not she died. That leaves me feeling really secure about what I've been taught about Mary.
